AUTHENTIC MATERIAL IN VIDEO CLIPS

Students enjoy watching video clips in a variety of accents and in the speed with which native speakers communicate. There is now a website, Yappr, which can offer them a collection of video clips with the transcription appearing in a window alongside. The videos are separated by level; easy - medium - hard and are also categorised by theme, such as sport, cartoons, nature etc. You can watch all the movie clips without registering, but you can also register and have access to many other applications.

THIS VIDEO IS WORTH WATCHING IT

What you are going to watch is really stunning, unexpected and worth watching it. This forty-seven-year-old lady performed a touching song from a musical in the Britain's Got Talent show. After this awesome performance we should think twice before looking down on someone because of his/her physical appearance. Take five minutes of your time and enjoy yourself.
After watching the performance, read what Tanya Gold wrote for the Guardian: 'It wasn't singer Susan Boyle who was ugly on Britain's Got Talent so much as our reaction to her'
